This NFC vs. AFC matchup features two teams struggling to find consistency playing through injuries at key positions.
Both passing attacks have been anemic recently, but the Packers got a breakout game from Christian Watson last game.
Tennessee is coming off a win in which Nick Westbrook-Ikhine caught his first two touchdowns of the season. The Titans (6-3) will be looking to strengthen their playoff lead, while the Packers (4-6) will try to rally their season.
After a huge win in OT last week against the 6-2 Cowboys, the Packers face off Thursday night against Derrick Henry and the Titans. The Packers have struggled offensively this season with significant injuries to their offensive line and wide receivers, but are showing life with Christian Watson returning from injury.
The injury issues for the Packers continue though as many players will not be 100% going into this weeks Thursday night matchup.
Both Bakhtiari and Jenkins failed to practice all week due to their knee issues hurting the offensive line badly. Aaron Rodgers, John Runyan, and Allen Lazard had limited practices this week which causes even more concern for the overall offense.
The Packers will have to step up defensively as well, as De'vondre Campbell did not practice all week and Preston Smith and Devante Wyatt were limited during the week.
The Titans come into this matchup after an impressive win vs the Broncos, it is starting to seem like this offensive line has finally figured it out for Derrick Henry.
This success will be a challenge to repeat though with the recent injury of starting center Ben Jones, who is dealing with a concussion. Having Ryan Tannehill back is a huge plus for this offense, but the Titans will struggle to rely on their throwing game without an 100% healthy Treylon Burks, Kyle Phillips, or Robert Woods.
Defensive end Jeffery Simmons (ankle) is listed as questionable for the game after missing the last contest. SS Amani Hooker (shoulder) and SLB Bud Dupree (hip) have been ruled out for the game. No. 1 cornerback Caleb Farley was also recently placed on IR with a back issue, leaving a big hole in the secondary.
The Packers are favored by 3 points at home against the Titans and the over/under is 41, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Injury-Based Free Pick
Aaron Rodgers O243.5 Passing Yards
The complicated QB has in front of him a tremendous advantage on TNF with Tennessee hampered on defense, Titans top corner was placed on IR this week while depth pieces and the starting SS will likely be hampered or out, look for the future Hall of Famer to take advantage on Thursday
