2022 NFL Week 17: Chiefs vs. Broncos Injury Report

Kansas City Chiefs, SIC score 93

The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the highest team SIC scores in the NFL. All of the team’s players listed on the practice report this week will carry no injury designation going into the game.

To make matters even better, the team is playing the Denver Broncos, who have a 68.1 SIC score, a team Patrick Mahomes is a 10-0 record against in his career.

The Chiefs have two injured players that fans thought had a chance to return this week.

The first is running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who suffered an injured ankle in week 11 versus the Chargers. The Chiefs decided not to activate his 21-day practice window.

Since he’s gone down, the Chiefs have been the tandem with Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon. Pacheco leads the team in rushing yards, and McKinnon is second in receiving touchdowns.

The second player is wide receiver Mecole Hardman who suffered an abdomen injury in week nine of the Tennessee Titans. Hardman has practiced in the last two weeks and has seven days remaining in the 21-day window in which he may be activated to the roster.

Denver Broncos, SIC score 68.1

The Denver Broncos have had many injuries this season, and this week is no different. Besides, the team fired Nathaniel Hackett after losing last week.

The Broncos have a 68.1 SIC score and are facing the Chiefs with a 93.0 score to make this one of the biggest injury discrepancies of the weekend.

Tight end Greg Dulcich is out this week with a hamstring injury. Dulcich was placed on Injured Reserve on Friday, effectively ending his season.

Jerry Jeudy has broken out this season and has had 50 or more yards in 10 straight games that he’s been able to finish. He’s a bright spot on the team. He’s listed as questionable this week with an ankle sprain. He should be able to go without any setbacks in the pre-game.

Broncos linebacker Baron Browning has four sacks, which is fourth on the team this season. But he’s battling a back injury that could keep him out this week.

Jerick McKinnon O30.5 Receiving Yards

The do it all back has played well with Pacheco since Edwards-Helaire went down and should continue to dominate the pass game on Sunday. Mahomes has relied heavily on the vet RB in the last three games as the former Viking has posted a combined 213 yards receiving yards.
