This matchup marks the first time these teams have met since 2018, when the Ravens bested the Saints on a last-minute touchdown pass from Joe Flacco. This matchup features teams with entirely different complexions and plenty of injuries to discuss.
Baltimore’s injury woes continue this week with the absences of Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews and Gus Edwards. Despite their continuing health issues, the Ravens have scratched their way to 5-3 behind the stellar play of Lamar Jackson.
Their offensive line play has gotten better with the return of left tackle Ronnie Stanley and the defense added a key piece at the deadline in linebacker Roquan Smith.
Despite the additions, the Ravens have the lowest defensive health score in the league at 69.4, with a pass defense score of 67.2.
Baltimore has allowed the eighth most passing yards this season on 6.4 yards per attempt, but rank third-best in rushing yards allowed this season.
The Saints will be playing their sixth game without Michael Thomas this season and will be without the veteran wideout the remainder of the season. Thomas is heading for surgery to fix a dislocated second toe in his right foot that he suffered Week 3.
Jarvis Landry, who was also injured Week 3, may return from his high ankle sprain for this Monday matchup. If he’s active, he will likely still have limited mobility and may struggle to find space.
On defense, the Saints remain without cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Bradley Roby. Lattimore is missing his fourth week with injured ribs, while Roby is on IR for an ankle injury.
New Orleans ranks eighth in rushing yards allowed and ninth in passing yards allowed this season.
The Ravens are favored by 1.5 points on the road and the over/under is 46.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
