The Eagles, the last undefeated team in the league, will face off against the one win Texans on a wet day in Houston. The second team in Texas will host one of the healthier teams in the league while they go into TNF with a few key issues on both sides of the ball.
While the city is busy watching the World Series versus the Astros, Philadelphia’s football team will squabble on primetime television as well. Trades starting in the offseason have bolstered the current Eagles roster with the most recent being pass rusher Robert Quinn who fills the whole left by Derek Barnett’s season ending ACL injury.
No other moves were made at the deadline but that may be a move in itself as their no current injury issues that need addressing.
A recent defensive injury that will effect their depth and DL rotation is Jordan Davis who will miss time due to an high ankle injury. The Georgia Bulldog first round pick needed helped off the field before eventually being carted to the locker room.
Everyone of note listed on the injury report has a rest designation meaning their were give practice off. Philadelphia will sport one the healthiest/green field views of the season.
The Texans play on Thursday nursing key issues on offense and defense. No key players were traded at the deadline meaning Brandin Cooks will play in Houston for the foreseeable future.
The stud WR is nursing a wrist issue but will play through while young wideout Nico Collins will miss his second straight game due a groin issue meaning more opportunities for Phillip Dorsett and Chris Moore (yay).
Defensively, three starters are out for the Texans including DT Maliek Collins (Chest), DE Jonathan Greenard (calf), and SLB Kevin Pierre-Louis (groin). Linebackers Christian Harris and Neville Hewitt are listed as questionable with the later likely to miss after not practicing all week.
Slot corner and punt returner Desmond King is nursing a knee issue but will play through on Thursday.

The rookie has been excellent this year but faces a rather healthy defensive front with all LBs healthy and only Jordan Davis missing. The Texans will likely trail majority of the game meaning Mills will throw more - take the under on the rookies rushing prop.
