2022 record: 7-10 | 2022 FanDuel O/U win total: 7.5
Burns had offseason surgery on his right ankle to repair a fracture he suffered last season. He has been active at training camp and our panel of doctors believe that he will be ready for Week 1 and over the ankle issue.
Chark underwent offseason surgery on his foot and ankle to repair his long-term injury issues. He was out for 6 games in 2022 due to these ankle issues and has only signed a one-year deal due to the Panthers worries with his ankle. We believe that Chark is healthy but not close to 100%. We will monitor his progress throughout training camp.
Thielen played through a right high ankle/calf injury last season in October but still managed to play in all 17 regular season games. He is now a member of the Carolina Panthers and hopes to continue his healthy streak and avoid any ankle complications. The Pro Football Docs assert he still needs a little more time before he is completely over his ankle issues.
Hurst had to get surgery on his injured groin this offseason and did not participate in OTA’s. He had to play through the injury all last season with the Bengals and still managed to get 517 yards and 50 receptions. Hurst will be ready for Week 1 but will need to be monitored throughout the start of the 2023 season. Groin injuries are very bothersome for every position on an NFL team.
Suffered a left (non-throwing) shoulder subluxation last year at Alabama, but did not miss much time. The issue isn't a concern for this season.
Corbett started every regular season game for the Panthers at right guard until he tore his ACL in Week 18 vs. the Saints. Offensive line ACL recoveries tend to be quicker than skill position players, but the Pro Football Docs don’t expect much from Corbett to start the season.
The young corner who has already missed 18 games in his first two seasons in the NFL is now out indefinitely due to ankle and foot injuries he suffered in a private workout in June. We expect Horn to be ready for training camp but needs to be cautious if the Panthers want him healthy for Week 1 based on his previous and recent injuries.
Jackson suffered a torn Achilles last year in November following a win over the Falcons. He has been in the rehabilitation process ever since and will participate in training camp. He was also dealing with ankle issues last season and the Pro Football Docs are not confident in his ability to cover early in the season.
Suffered a groin injury early in camp. He has a history of groin issues, including last season, thus this new groin injury is concerning. Don’t count on him being available to start the year.
