2022 record: 5-12 | 2023 FanDuel O/U win total: 8.5
The Bronco underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee after the 2022 regular season ended due to multiple problems that had been bothering him the entire season. Wilson should be fully recovered by Week 1 but will need to avoid any more hits to the helmet after his terrible concussion last year. Too many concussions can drive anyone to retire early, including Wilson, as he heads towards the tail end of his career.
The rookie running back started his career off strong with the Broncos but unfortunately tore three ligaments in his right knee in Week 4 of last year. The Broncos have been majorly focused on getting Williams rehabbed and ready to go, and Williams himself says he will be playing in training camp. Having a great season after tearing your knee the year before isn’t impossible, but it is incredibly hard to do. It usually takes a full season to get back to peak form, but hopefully Williams will surprise everyone.
The outside linebacker injured his knee last season and had to undergo arthroscopic surgery to trim the meniscus in his injured knee. The good news of the entire situation was that Gregory's ACL was intact, and he was able to return Week 10. This hope was cut short after Gregory missed the last two games of the season and was placed on IR. Gregory is progressing through rehab well but will not be 100% to start the season.
Tim Patrick has experienced another season-ending injury for the second consecutive year. During practice on Monday, he tore his left Achilles, resulting in him being sidelined for the entire 2023 season. Last year, in training camp, Patrick suffered a right torn ACL, causing him to miss the entire 2022 season. With just one year remaining on his contract and a base salary of $9.5 million for 2024, it's worth noting that none of that salary is guaranteed. Consequently, he is likely to be either released or face a substantial pay cut in the upcoming season.
Hamler announced on Instagram that he received a diagnosis of "mild heart irritation, called pericarditis." Over the last two seasons, he has encountered injury issues, participating in only 8 games in 2021 and 2022. In March, he suffered a partial pec tear during a solo workout. Despite these injury concerns, he is anticipated to have a prompt recovery and should be available to play early in the season.
The Broncos left tackle was facing off against the Colts when his left leg was rolled up on and he was twisted into the ground. Bolles had to be carted off the field due to this severe lower leg injury, which turned out to be a broken leg, ending his 2022 season. Bolles is continuing to rehab his broken leg in order to get back to 100%, but will not be back for the start of the season.
