The below list of key player insights will be updated all week.

Jordan Love might suit up this week vs the Lions, despite the bye week next week and the chance to take three weeks of rest, but with 1st place up for grabs in the division, This week his only practice appearance was an LP on Friday. Love will likely see the field in Week 9 but we expect he won't be as mobile out of the pocket.
Has missed the last three games with an oblique injury, he had his reps limited at practice this week but is cleared to start this Sunday at Carolina according to head coach Dennis Allen.
Will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots as he recovers from a sprained AC joint, his availability will rely on how Levis feels at the end of the practice week, the decision will ultimately fall on head coach Brian Callahan, but they will listen to Levis' input.
Hamstring injuries for a running back are never good, this is the first realistic chance for Etienne to return this week, but don't expect him to be 100%, Tank Bigsby has been playing well in Etienne's absence, at best, expect a snap share between the two backs.
He concluded his third week of practice with the Panthers on Friday after he had his 21-day evaluation window opened back on Oct. 16 as he recovers from a torn ACL, however, head coach Dave Canales said that the running back is unlikely to be activated from the reserve/non-football injury list prior to the Week 9 contest.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that McCaffrey will remain in the Bay Area during the 49ers' Week 9 bye to take part in “simulated practice stuff,”, he is recovering from bilateral Achilles tendinitis and hasn't played yet this season, he's reported to have had no setbacks and could be ready for Week 10.
Will utilize the Week 9 bye to aid in recovering from a shoulder aggravation sustained in Sunday's game, he exited before halftime and then never returned to the game, his practice status leading up to W10 will ultimately determine his availability for that week.
Fell on the ball and injured his ribs when he sustained the injury, there is no fracture, it is likely rib cartilage, which can be painful, Thomas is sorely needed since Kirk and Davis are out, limited practice gives him a chance to play, but he will be playing through pain, similar to Jayden Daniels' injury but functionally this is a more painful injury.
Will utilize the Week 9 bye to aid in recovering from oblique and rib injuries sustained in Sunday’s game, he appears to have avoided anything serious but the practice week before Week 10 will ultimately determine his availability for that week.
Very unlikely to be able to play this week, quads are very important for acceleration and deceleration. The injury only happened a week ago in the leadup to Week 8 so it hasn't been 7 days quite yet, with this short timeline it would be a surprise to see him play, the Bengals are already preparing for this outcome. Has been listed as Doubtful.
With a week of full practices behind him this week, Hockenson is poised for his first game action since he tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee Dec. 24, he has no injury designation for Week 9.
