49ers Injury Report: Deebo Samuel, Kyle Juszcyzk Among Starters Likely to Miss Week 8

The day after a blowout 44-23 loss to the Chiefs, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced that 49ers' wide receiver Deebo Samuel is day-to-day with a hamstring injury and fullback Kyle Juszcyzk will miss next week after undergoing finger surgery.

Samuel has an SIC score of 65 and will likely be unavailable or limited against the Rams because of his apparent hamstring injury, according to the Pro Football Docs.

Juszcyzk suffered a fractured left ring finger and likely fourth PIP dislocation attempting a stiff-arm, but he will be on track to return from the injury in mid-November.

San Francisco will face the 3-3 Rams before heading into the bye week, giving the 49ers incentive to rest Samuel and other hampered players that litter the depth chart.

Hoping to avenge their Super Bowl defeat, the 49ers called to their tired, their poor, their huddled masses yearning to beat the Chiefs.

Key starters Trent Williams (SIC score 80), Charvarius Ward (SIC score 48), Mike McGlinchey (SIC score 73), and Nick Bosa (SIC score 86) returned early from multi-week injuries for the game and were exploited in key moments.

Safety Talanoa Hufanga, meanwhile, had an abnormal advancement through the concussion protocol after experiencing delayed symptoms and was reportedly cleared about two hours before the game on Sunday.

The rookie safety suffered a reported shoulder injury and returned to the game after absorbing a forearm to the head/neck that left Hufanga noticeably shaken.
