Philadelphia 76ers superstar and MVP candidate Joel Embiid is listed as questionable with left ankle soreness ahead of Sunday's matchup against Cleveland.
The injury is new for the 76ers big man, but shouldn't be much concern. With the end of the season near, Embiid would surely have been ruled out already if it wasn't an injury he could play through.
The 28-year-old played 31 minutes in the 30-point win over the Hornets last night and hasn't missed a game since March 21.
Although Philadelphia is still in the mix for the top seed, they sit 2.5 games out of first place and 2 games ahead of the fifth-place Raptors with 5 games left.
The 76ers would be smart to rest the big man and have him 100% for the playoffs.
If Embiid doesn't play, expect more minutes for DeAndre Jordan or Paul Millsap. Star shooting guard James Harden and Tyrese Maxey are healthy for the contest. That pair and Tobias Harris should soak up the extra shot opportunities if Embiid sits.
The Cavaliers, for their part, are still without Rookie of the Year favorite Evan Mobley and star big man Jarrett Allen.
Philadelphia is favored by 4 points on the road and the over/under is 224.
