Adam Trautman, the New Orleans Saints number one tight end, left the game in the first quarter after injuring his left foot. Trautman was carted off and by video review, there was no traumatic injury or play early on. He did slip down on a block but stayed in the game. Combining the publicly available information with the video review, one would not expect a major injury for Trautman. X-rays were reportedly negative but a stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal would be the worst case scenario as they can be easily missed by an MRI. Hopefully his tests are clean as he is poised for a breakout in his second season out of Dayton.
