Adoree’ Jackson, the Giants cornerback recently underwent an MRI and is said to have a low ankle sprain. But that does not guarantee that he will be ready for week 1. Reports are that he had significant swelling in his ankle. Depending on the severity, the low ankle sprain could easily knock him out of the early part of the season. A first time grade three low ankle sprain could easily carry at least four, if not six, week timeline for recovery. The significant swelling carries some worry that he is not out of the woods. Certainly it is better than a high ankle sprain, but depending on the severity, one cannot guarantee he will be in the Giants’ secondary to start the season.
