The Bengals star wide receiver will not see the field this year. He was injured with a significant high ankle sprain in his very first training camp practice. The thought was that he would return after missing a few games. That subsequently got extended to mid-season. After the trade deadline, it was apparent to us here that his left ankle was far from fully recovered and had loss of motion, stiffness and he continued to favor the ankle. It made his absence extend to December. Now comes word Green has told the team website that he likely will not play in the final two games. He is poised to enter free agency without taking a snap in 2019.
