As the Bengals prepare to play the Steelers on Monday night football, lots of new information is coming out related to AJ Green. Clearly he is not playing tonight. An earlier report from ESPN said he will be out for another two weeks. By analyzing a pregame warm up video from NFL Network, it does appear that Green is progressing, but the recovery timeline does not change. He is clearly still favoring the right ankle, the one he hurt in training camp. He seems to be well recovered from the ankle scope, it’s the residual of the syndesmotic ligament/high ankle sprain injury that leaves him less than 100% today. Based on video and his workout, it appears he’ll be ready to go in mid to late October.
