Alex Smith was seen getting stretched out with a heat pack wrapped on his calf right before halftime. Smith went to the locker room early and now Dwayne Haskins is playing QB for Washington. Apparently he suffered a calf injury and this is on the same side as the leg that underwent 17 surgeries. The musculature and anatomy of his leg are likely not normal. The muscle he has left in his calf may not be enough to keep him mobile, but luckily this injury does not put his leg at risk. We expect him to stay on the sidelines for the remainder of the game and the team will be safe with Smith.
