Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported a high ankle issue for Saints star running back Alvin Kamara. He came into the game Sunday with an ankle issue and apparently tweaked his knee. By study of video, I did not see a significant knee injury. On his second carry, I did see a mild MCL injury but he was able to play the rest of the first half. Now there are reports of a high ankle sprain and there is some doubt serious doubt that he can suit up this week. However, having studied his video, there isn’t a single play that shows him suffering a significant high ankle sprain although his foot could of been caught up in a pile and wasn’t visible. I expect the high ankle sprain to be mild and he has a reasonable chance to play through although it may affect his production come Sunday. This is an injury to watch but this certainly is not as significant as Saquon Barkley’s or A.J. Green’s high ankle sprains.
