Alvin Kamara Trending Towards Playing Through Rib Cartilage Injury

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was spotted at practice Friday, the third straight day he has practiced after missing Week 2 with a rib cartilage injury.

The Pro Football Docs expect him to play without limitations, especially if he elects for a rib block injection - to numb the pain - before the game.

Alvin Kamara Injury Update:

The five-time Pro Bowler rushed 9 times for 39 yards in Week 1 and had 3 catches for 7 yards.

He appeared to suffer the fractured rib cartilage on a hit early in the fourth quarter, but he finished the game against the Falcons.

Kamara did not practice last week and was ruled out for the contest against the Buccaneers.

The sixth-year back will likely be listed as questionable ahead of the matchup against the Panthers. Mark Ingram II would see increased usage on the off chance that Kamara doesn't play.

Saints vs. Panthers Week 3 Odds

New Orleans is favored by 2.5 points in Carolina this week and the over/under is 40.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Saints are +500 to win the NFC South, while the Panthers are +1800.
