Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper took a hit to his ribs on a tackle in the closing minute of the team's Week 2 win over the Chargers. Head Coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that he would classify the injury as a "ribs bruise" and said he would know more on Wednesday. The Cowboys won't practice until Thursday and the extra day of rest bodes well for Cooper's status for Monday against the Eagles. Generally, it is easier for wide receivers to play through rib injuries -- rather than quarterbacks or running backs -- but it depends on the severity of the bruise. We expect Cooper to suit up for the division matchup against Philadelphia this upcoming Monday.
