Andrew Whitworth Suffers Season Ending Injury

The left tackle of the Rams was leg whipped inadvertently by Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright and suffered a significant knee injury. By video, we were certain of a significant sprain/tear and hoped his ACL would be spared. Now comes a report that indeed it indeed an MCL injury with his ACL being spared. However there is involvement with the poster cruciate ligament (PCL) which is worse than a typical MCL sprain.
The good news is, it is possible Whitworth can escape surgery. The bad news is that this is likely regular season ending, and given his age (older than his head coach), this may be a career-ender.
