Getting carted off is understandably something that worries a fanbase. We always try to judge the video of the injury itself as opposed to the player or medical staff’s reaction to the injury. Indeed there is now confirmation of no fracture for Andrus Peat, and he has suffered a high ankle sprain. The amount of time he will miss depends on how much swelling occurs. Worst case scenario seems to be injured reserve, missing three games and returning to the scene but it could end up being much shorter than that. At this point Week 4 is certainly a long shot, but we do not expect a long absence. Until his return, the Saints will have to lean on either youngster Derrick Kelly, or journeyman Nick Easton.
