Andy Dalton, the backup Cowboys quarterback, went into an early slide and was hit late. He was hit in the head and his helmet flew off. Dalton was carted off and there is no question that he will not return today based on the hit but also how dazed he appeared. The defender is likely to face a heavy suspension and fine given how vicious the illegal hit was.
