Andy Dalton To Start If Healthy, But Not Likely To Be Healthy By Week 5

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy told reporters Monday that Andy Dalton will start at quarterback if he is healthy this week. That is a big "if" for the former Bengals quarterback as he is still recovering from the left knee bone bruise he suffered Week 2. Dalton returned to practice last week, but did not look anywhere close to 100% healthy from the knee injury. Based on video from Wednesday's practice, he was still favoring the left knee considerably. We expect Dalton to be limited again in practice this week and we doubt he will be healthy enough to start against the Raiders this Sunday. Dalton is more likely to make his return in Week 6, but we wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play until Week 7. Rookie quarterback Justin Fields was 11-17 for 209 yards and had one interception in the Week 4 win over the Lions.
