The Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo is out with a rib injury this week. In normal seasons, it is unusual to have an offensive lineman miss with a rib issue when intercostal nerve (rib) block injections are readily available. Perhaps it is a different sort of rib issue that may be hard to play. One has to wonder if Tyrod Taylor's punctured lung from a rib block has led players or team physicians to damper their enthusiasm on using this technique to help players return to play. It seems Cam Akers also chose not to play with a rib block and is now returning this week from his rib cartilage issue that he suffered Week 1.
