Anthony Richardson - SIC Health Score 72

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson suffered a hip injury in the first quarter of the game against the Steelers and left the game.

By video, Richardson suffered a right hip pointer, right iliac crest direct contusion.

Richardson, who faced multiple injuries last season, initially exited after being hit at the end of a run. He briefly returned but struggled with his mobility and power, limping off the field once more.

This can be a very painful injury that swells. He went to the locker room and was ruled out soon after.

Backup quarterback Joe Flacco replaced Richardson, throwing a touchdown to Josh Downs shortly after. This latest injury is a setback for the Colts, who emphasized keeping Richardson healthy after he missed significant time in 2023. Concerns about his durability have resurfaced following this incident however we don't expect this to be a long-term absence. Likely to be a 1-2 week absence.
