The Buccaneers elite wideout did not practice and missed the Week 7 game with an ankle injury. Brown was DNP again today and was pictured on the practice field with a singular crutch but no boot. We reviewed video of the game and did not see any ankle injury. It is certainly bad news that he is not practicing and using a crutch. The good news however is that he is out of a boot and the crutch may be more for comfort as he is clearly bearing weight. It seems dubious that he will play Week 8 versus the Saints however, we do not anticipate that his return is far off or that there will be an injured reserve stint. We will continue to monitor his status as Sunday approaches.
