Antonio Hamilton Injury: Return Timeline for Cardinals' DB

The Arizona Cardinals placed cornerback Antonio Hamilton on the reserve/non-football injury list Thursday after he was injured in a cooking accident.

The seventh-year cornerback will miss the first four games of the season before he's eligible to return. The Pro Football Docs have optimism he can make it back for Week 5.

Hamilton reportedly suffered second-degree burns on his feet and an arm after spilling hot oil.

The burns necessitated a hospital trip, but he will not require surgery, according to the Pro Football Docs. He should be ready to play and practice well ahead of Week 5.

As confirmed with burn specialists at Prime Plastic Surgery, the burns are second-degree, not third degree. Third-degree burns would have required a longer absence.

Hamilton had the best season of his career in 2021-22. He finished third amongst Cardinals cornerbacks with 38 combined tackles and had 4 passes defended.

The Cardinals play the Chiefs at home in Week 1.

Kansas City is favored by 3.5 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
