Antony Averett Leaves With Potential Rib Injury, Likely To Return

Ravens cornerback Anthony Averett left in the first quarter of the Bengals game after suffering a chest injury.

By video, Averett appeared to take a hit to his ribs on a tackle, then left on a cart.

He was deemed questionable to return with a chest injury.

We didn't see much as far as an injury mechanism and believe Averett could return after receiving a rib block injection.

The Ravens desperately need help at cornerback, as their top four corners are out.

Update

Averett has not returned to the game and Ravens cornerback Tavon Young was also hurt during the game.

Joe Burrow threw for 525 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Ravens depleted secondary.
