The Chargers running back played Sunday in the victory over the Washington football team, despite being DNP, DNP, and LP in practice with his hamstring issue. Early in the week, we indicated a less than full workload with a lowered SIC score and that indeed was the case. No question he made it to play and start while carrying the ball 15 times. Ekeler had a total of 57 rushing yards for a sub par four yard average. He did have a short touchdown run to help with fantasy scoring but his biggest asset is pass catching in space but the hamstring issue prevented him from being utilized in the passing game. Hopefully as he gets better this week, he will have increased production and we are likely to up his SIC score, but will still be less than full for the Week 2 contest. The good news is it does not seem like he suffered any aggravation despite playing Week 1.
