Baker Mayfield suffered a left hip pointer according to video analysis which we discussed in game Sunday. As we expected, x-rays were negative and he was able to finish the game against Seattle. This injury is not to his hip joint, but his iliac crest or the the “beltline area” which can be very painful, but not dangerous to play through. Given that the team has a bye next week, this should not significantly affect Mayfield going forward.
