Bucks' fan favorite and sixth man Bobby Portis left Wednesday's game in the first quarter after suffering an eye abrasion that left him bloodied.
Portis only played six minutes before Tristan Thompson elbowed him in the face while the two bigs were fighting for a rebound. Portis reached for his right eye and could be seen with blood streaming down his face before he was ruled out.
The 27-year-old is expected to play in Game 3 on Friday and shouldn't be limited by the injury. He will be asked to help pick up the offensive slack if Middleton misses time with his left knee injury.
Portis became an integral piece during the Bucks' 2021 championship run and became an even more important piece this season after Brook Lopez went down with a back injury in the first week.
Portis has still been a major contributor in his diminished role, averaging 10.7 points and 8.8 rebounds in 24.9 minutes to close the regular season after Lopez returned on March 14.
