The Heat SIC Health Score - 83.3 are mostly clean coming into Wednesday’s essential bout in Boston, but await an official word on multiple wings.
Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, and Gabe Vincent are all listed as day-to-day with minor injuries, with Martin the only player to miss Monday’s win over the Kings with a sore calf.
Tyler Herro recently returned from a 2-game absence stemming from a left knee sprain but still appears limited, averaging 14.3 points on 40.9% shooting and 25% from behind the arc over his last 3 games.
Robinson and Herro’s shooting have been maybe the biggest factors in the Heat’s game-to-game success this season.
In wins, Robinson is averaging 12.5 points on 63.6% true shooting and Herro is posting 22.1 points on .483/.440/.871 splits; in losses, however, Robinson is scoring 8.6 points on 44.5% true shooting and Herro 18.4 points on .383/.315/.880 splits.
The Celtics SIC Health Score - 85.1 have been the best team in the NBA since the calendar flipped to 2022, but will have to trudge forward without defensive centerpiece Robert Williams III, who will miss significant time with a torn left meniscus.
Boston will take on the Heat on Wednesday night, who it recently overtook for the No. 1 seed in the East.
After losing Williams during a 22-point win on Sunday, the Celtics rested Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford for Monday’s loss to the Raptors. All 3 are listed as day-to-day, but are expected to play, as there is no indication the absences were anything more than a rest day.
Without the 24-year-old, who has struggled with chronic knee issues throughout his career, Grant Williams and Daniel Theis are in line to see big bumps in minutes and defensive responsibility. Both played over 39 minutes Monday, with Williams scoring 17 points and Theis posting 13 with 10 rebounds.
Potential Plays:
Jaysom Tatum O39.5 Pts-Reb-Ast - Tatum has played well including stuffing the stat sheet of late, gone over this prop in 10 of 12 games in March
Heat Team Total O104.5 Points - The Heat should be able to capitalize on a Robert Williams-less defense, expect points from one of the best Eastern Conference teams
