In the first game of the day on Sunday, both the Battlehawks and the Defenders have loss their starting center. Brian Folkerts of the Battlehawks was injured in the first quarter and by video it appears he suffered a low ankle sprain as he was rolled up on in a pile of players. As he did not plant his feet firmly, he seems to have avoided serious damage and suffered a basketball type low inversion sprain. Folkerts has not been ruled out but the injury will likely keep him on the sidelines as an emergency backup for the rest of the game. John Toth of the Defenders also left with what was reported as a "lower-body injury". This term is usually used to describe hockey injuries and by the lack of information, we cannot speculate on what his injury is but we will monitor his status as the game progresses.
