Denver’s edge rusher suffered a surprise ACL tear Sunday. By video, it appears he may have injured the injury to the left knee while engaged with a blocker very early in the fourth quarter. He limped off the field and earlier had cramps on the same left side. It’s possible the cramping weakened his muscles, especially his hamstring to the point where it provided less protection to his ACL. He returned to the game, and even cause a fumble. He felt worse over night and announcement he partially tore it later followed. In my experience, ACLs are either torn or not. With the news of he being out the entire year, it indicates he suffered a complete tear. Certainly, this is bad news for Denver and Chubb. Returning and almost winning the game for his team shows his toughness and passion.
