The Pelicans announced that star wing Brandon Ingram is probable to play Sunday night against the Lakers.
Ingram has missed the last 10 games with a right hamstring strain he likely suffered in a marathon overtime matchup with the Nuggets on March 6. New Orleans said on March 9 that he would miss the next 7-to-10 days, and has been out for 17 days since.
Ingram's likely return comes as the Pelicans, 31-43, attempt to jump the Lakers into the No. 9 seed in the West. A win would put them a game ahead of Los Angeles and a game-and-a-half up on the Spurs.
The 25-year-old is averaging 22.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 50 games this season and New Orleans has a 25-25 record in games Ingram has played.
CJ McCollum is questionable for the game with an ankle sprain he likely suffered in a 32-point, 6-round performance against the Spurs on Saturday.
Larry Nance Jr. is listed as doubtful as he slowly returns from right knee surgery earlier this year.
