Young Braves slugger Ronald Acuña Jr. is out of the lineup for a third straight game today with left groin tightness and will reportedly undergo an MRI.
The 24-year-old reportedly felt tightness in his groin after Tuesday's game. He went 1-3 in the contest with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
He is reportedly considered day-to-day, but that will depend on the MRI results. The Pro Baseball Docs don't expect to see him in the lineup on Sunday.
Acuña is off to a hot start since returning from his right knee ACL tear, hitting .282 with a .391 on-base percentage and 2 home runs in 10 games.
However, this current groin issue could be caused by him overcompensating for his still recovering right knee.
Travis Demeritte will start in right field with Marcell Ozuna in left and William Contreras at designated hitter.
Braves World Series Odds
At 15-18, the Braves are +270 to win the NL East and +1500 to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
