The Jets guard dislocated his left shoulder on Sunday. Typically after a shoulder dislocation, players can continue to play the season before having surgery. It seems Winters was trying to do just that and now that it has re-dislocated. Some have returned to play with a shoulder strap / harness to finish the season, but who can blame a player. Who would want to have surgery for an out of the playoff picture team and risk re-dislocation a second time. Labral repair surgery recovery is about a six month timeline, so he will be fine to play next season. This is another significant blow to an injury-riddled Jets offensive line.
