Broncos Dealing With Injuries On All Levels Of The Defense

Denver's defense has had a tough season riddled by injuries, and their struggles continue as the year comes to a close. It appears that Vic Fangio is shutting Von Miller down for the season despite his recovery progress, and this front seven has been scrambling to field talent after losing Jurrell Casey and Mike Purcell on top of Miller. Now, nose tackle DeShawn Williams and edge rusher Bradley Chubb are both questionable to play, leaving them vulnerable up front. The secondary continues to be a massive issue at this point in the season, and with Bryce Callahan, AJ Bouye, Essang Bassey, Duke Dawson and Kevin Tolliver out, they're left with Michael Ojemudia and Devante Bausby outside. They were hoping to get reinforcements with the signing of Nate Hairston, but he injured his toe in practice on Thursday and is now questionable. They will be severely undermanned as they try to contain Justin Herbert
