The Broncos injury-marred 2020 campaign is coming to a close in Week 17, and their losses have continued to mount on the defensive side of the ball throughout the whole year. Their starting front seven has just two of their projected starters for 2020, in Alexander Johnson and Josey Jewell at linebacker. Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Jurrell Casey, Shelby Harris and Mike Purcell are all injured and out, and all things considered this unit has held together as best they could. While Von Miller could have returned from his ankle injury, there was no reason to with their playoff hopes dashed, and this unit is limping into the season finale. The secondary is hurting as well, as AJ Bouye is suspended, and Bryce Callahan, Essang Bassey, Duke Dawson and Kevin Tolliver II are all out, leaving a young and inexperienced cornerback group on the field.
