Baker Mayfield, the Browns quarterback, left the game in the third quarter after taking a hit from Patriots linebacker Matt Judon. By video, we didn't see an exact injury mechanism and we hope he is more hurt than injured. We do not think it is related to his left shoulder injury that he has dealt with for most of the season. He was listed with a foot injury in practice this week, but we think this issue is unrelated to that as well. Case Keenum is in the game for the time being, with the Browns down 31-7 to the Patriots.
Update
Mayfield is questionable to return with a right knee injury. We didn't see a specific injury by video and we think he will be ready for next week against the Lions. After the game, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Mayfield suffered a knee contusion and could have returned to the game.
