Browns veteran right tackle Jack Conklin suffered a right knee injury in the first quarter of the Sunday night football game and his season could potentially be over. Conklin went down after pass blocking and trainers checked out his knee on the field. He began walking off the field, then his knee buckled and he stumbled to stay standing. Conklin was then helped by trainers off the field and was carted into the locker room.
By video, we have significant worry for a patella tendon tear, based on the way he collapsed while pass blocking. He will likely not return today and could be done for the season depending on the MRI results. Conklin was activated off IR Saturday and was playing in his first game since dislocating his left elbow Week 8. He has been ruled out with a knee injury, thus Blake Hance will take over at right tackle.
