Buccaneers Left Guard Ali Marpet Ruled Out with Oblique Injury

Buccaneers left guard Ali Marpet suffered an oblique injury in the second quarter and has been ruled out for the rest of their game vs the Giants. Oblique strains are especially difficult for offensive linemen, as it is a core muscle which affects twisting and greatly hampers his ability to block. Fifth-year guard Aaron Stinnie, who was on the Bucs Super Bowl roster, has come in relief. Marpet appeared to suffer the injury on the Buccaneers' second drive of the game, during which they kicked a field goal to take a 10-7 lead. Will monitor for more information.
