Buffalo Bills
Offense
RB Zack Moss -
Moss suffered a toe injury in practice and missed three of the first five games of the season. In the playoffs, the Wisconsin product suffered an ankle injury that required surgery in the offseason. Moss is currently dealing with a hamstring issue and although projected to be the number one back, should split time with Devin Singletary again. Singletary had 194 touches last year while Moss had 126, and this division of labor seems likely in 2021.
WR Stefon Diggs -
The Bills’ number one wideout suffered an oblique injury in their wildcard game but missed no time, leaving the stud wide receiver healthy going into training camp. We don't see how this injury hasn't healed completely this offseason, and Diggs should build on his massive 127 catch, 1535 yard, eight touchdown season in Buffalo in his second year in Buffalo.
WR Cole Beasley -
It has been revealed that slot receiver Cole Beasley suffered a fibula fracture in Week 16 and played all the way through the Bills playoff run. He was listed on multiple injury reports with a knee issue, and the likely nature of this injury is an incomplete fracture of the fibular head. No one can question Beasley's toughness and ability to play through, but thankfully it was not a structural injury or required surgery. The biggest health issue for Beasley is the rules for contact tracing, which do not favor the unvaccinated as he runs the risk of missing time due to the protocols. Beasley was Josh Allen’s second favorite target last year, and while Emmanuel Sanders will likely fill the role John Brown held last year, Beasley remains the go-to option out of the slot.
Defense
LB Matt Milano -
A torn pectoral was the biggest issue Milano dealt with in the Bills' highly successful season. The mainstay linebacker spent four weeks on IR for the pec issue. He missed six total games this year with pec and hamstring issues. After returning from IR, he did not miss a game and played well before Buffalo was ousted from the playoffs. Milano should be healthy going into the season and figures to be a major factor on defense.
