Bulls' Forward Patrick Williams Returning Monday From October Wrist Injury

Versatile sophomore forward Patrick Williams will return to the Bulls' lineup Monday night against the Raptors, and not a moment too season.

Williams, who was the No. 4 overall draft pick in 2020, has missed nearly 5 months after tearing ligaments in his left wrist on a failed dunk attempt against the Knicks on October 28.

Despite being out for nearly the entire season, Williams should not be negatively impacted by the injury and subsequent surgery.

His return will push Javonte Green and Derrick Jones Jr. back to reserve roles.

Williams' recovery was lengthened so he could re-condition for the upcoming Bulls postseason run.

Chicago, 41-29, has lost 3 in a row and 8 of its last 10 games while the No. 5 seed slowly get back key defensive pieces in Williams and Alex Caruso. The Bulls remain without Lonzo Ball, who's recovery from a 2nd meniscus surgery has been stalled as of late.

The 20-year-old out of Florida State played 71 games last year for the Bulls, averaging 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 48.3% shooting from the field and 39.1% from three.
