Bulls SIC score: 86.1
The No. 3 seed Bulls enter this marquee matchup on a 3-game losing streak, attempting to tread water as they await reinforcements coming soon in the form of Lonzo Ball, Patrick Williams, and Alex Caruso.
Caruso broke his wrist the last time these teams played, when Grayson Allen committed a flagrant 2 foul that the NBA suspended him 1 game for.
In the meantime, however, Chicago is relying on rookie Ayo Dosunmu and 28-year-old Javonte Green, who had never averaged over 11.5 minutes per game before this season, at point guard and small forward.
Dosunmu's over/under for points is set at 10.5, while Green's is 7.5. Dosunmu is averaging 11.7 points per game since joining the starting lineup on Jan. 15.
DeMar DeRozan continues to dominate from the midrange, but has been forced to shoulder a massive load as of late, playing 38.6 minutes per game since Feb. 1.
His running mate, Zach Lavine, has managed a sore left knee for much of the last 2 months, but appears to be healthy after a recent visit to a specialist to drain fluid before the all-star break.
The Bulls enter with the NBA's best home record against the spread at 23-11.
Bucks SIC score: 88.8
The Bucks are 13-12 since Jan. 3, but have won 2 in a row, including a dramatic comeback win over the Heat on Wednesday night.
The Bucks are without Pat Conaughton (hand), Brook Lopez (back), and George Hill (neck), all current depth pieces that have put more pressure on starters Grayson Allen, Jrue Holiday, and Bobby Portis.
Bobby Portis has become a key piece for Milwaukee and a fan favorite, averaging career highs of 15.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks while shooting 41.4% from 3 as a starter.
Chicago enemy No. 1, sharpshooter Grayson Allen, has slowed after an explosive first half of the season, averaging 9 points and 3.1 rebounds on 41.8% shooting and 35.1% from behind the arc.
Potential Plays:
Bulls +5
Kris Middleton O20.5 Points
Jrue Holiday O18.5 Points
