I expect Cam Newton's Lisfranc injury to be pretty healthy now and in the 90’s in terms of percentage of health. My belief is that he’s already capable of practicing and playing. However, Coach Ron Rivera already declared Kyle Allen the Week eight starter and that is easy to do given his 4-0 record in Newton's absence. The situation makes it easy for the Panthers to stick to the team mantra of “we want Cam at 100% health.” One has to think if Allen was 0-4 as a starter, the Panthers would have taken Newton's current approximate 95% health and put him back in the starting lineup. The team's performance makes it easy to wait on Newton even longer.
