Cam Newton has been ruled out. We indicated earlier this week that he is suffering from a lisfranc/midfoot sprain that was likely to keep him out this week. Good news, no surgery needed. It was an aggravation of a preseason injury. The question becomes, when will he return? There is a good chance he will not play next week as well. He will have to show progress and we will continue to monitor his situation.
