Cameron Brate Concussion: Tampa Bay TE Carted Off After Hit

Update: After the game, head coach Todd Bowles said Brate is dealing with a neck injury, but has movement in all his extremities.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate was carted off the field after appearing to suffer his second concussion in less than a month.

By video, the Pro Football Docs do not have worry for any neck/spine damage from the hit.

Brate went down holding his head after the hit and was placed on a backboard before he was carted off.

The hope/expectation is the use of the backboard is precautionary, according to the Pro Football Docs. Brate reportedly has movement in all extremities.

Brate suffered a concussion in Week 4 against the Chiefs. In that game, he took a big hit but returned to the game before reportedly exhibiting concussion symptoms.

He will likely miss extended time because this is his second concussion in a span of three weeks.
