Teddy Bridgewater - QB
Bridgewater suffered a multi ligament knee dislocation in 2016 as the rising star was poised to be the quarterback of the future for the Minnesota Vikings. Four years later, he recovered enough to be the full-time starter again, this time for the Carolina Panthers. His injury was always much worse than a simple ACL tear, as tearing several ligaments in the knee is often a career ender. However in his case, perseverance and hard work has prevailed. After spending 2016 and most of 2017 on the sidelines, he wound up with New Orleans for 2018-2019. Last year he went 5-0 as the replacement to Drew Brees, throwing for 1,384 yards, 67.8% completion percentage , nine touchdowns and two interceptions. His knee issues are finally behind him, though his once elite mobility post-injury is probably more in the "very good" category now. In Carolina, he’ll be jumpstarting a new regime with new head coach Matt Rhule, and while there could be growing pains, he has the benefit of leaning on an elite weapon like Christian McCaffrey out of the backfield while DJ Moore, Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel give him solid options around the field.
