The defensive back hyperextended his knee mid-season and missed several games before being placed on injured reserve. It is not clear the extent of the injury as there hasn’t been a firm report but Kirkpatrick was released a month into free agency. In any case, an older corner dealing with a knee issue is something to watch and he will need to be examined in person before being offered a contract.
