The corner missed six games last season after suffering an MCL sprain in his right knee on the first week of the season. The MCL is extremely important for lateral movement and reacting to the receiver/ball. The 32 year old fell on the depth chart due to the injury and teams not being able to see free agents in person could be why Smith signed a one year deal to stay in Baltimore.
