The Vikings third wide receiver tore his ankle ligaments on Sunday as reported by Tom Pelissero. By video, it appears late in the third quarter as he attempted  to block Vontaze Burfict downfield and suffered a low inversion ankle sprain. Indeed, a sprain is a tear of the ligaments in your ankle although often considered a partial tear. This is consistent with the NFL Network information. The good news, this should not be a long term injury but it will certainly affect his ability to cut and be effective when he returns. This is not a high ankle sprain with the standard low inversion basketball type sprain. He should return to play relatively early compared to the likes of Saquon Barkley.
